What this drill covers
The first level is the five notes from C to G just below middle C, the most common left-hand position. Next come the lower G, A and B, plus A and B higher up. The last level adds ledger lines: middle C and D above the staff, and the low F, E and C below it.
Why it helps
Most self-taught players read treble clef far better than bass, so the left hand is where things stall when the hands go together. A few minutes of bass clef a day helps both hands keep up with each other.
Each round is 10 to 15 questions. Notes you miss come back sooner, notes you know come back later, and the next level opens once most of the current one sticks.
