What this drill covers

The first level is the five notes from middle C to G, the most common right-hand position. Next come the notes from A up to the G at the top of the staff. The last level adds ledger-line notes: A, B and C above the staff, and A and B below middle C. You can answer on the piano keys or by note name.

Why it helps

Reading notes quickly decides whether a new piece takes days or weeks. A few minutes a day on the notes you miss works much better than one long session now and then.

Each round is 10 to 15 questions. Notes you miss come back sooner, notes you know come back later, and the next level opens once most of the current one sticks.
