What makes it tricky
The left hand has only two notes, low G and C, mostly whole notes held through the bar. The challenge is letting the left hand ring for all four beats while the right hand keeps moving through the five notes from C to G.
How to practice it
- Pick Right hand at 75% until you know the tune. It repeats a lot, so this goes quickly.
- Pick Both at 50%. Count all four beats aloud and lift the left hand only when the next bar starts.
- Go up to 100% and listen for whether the left hand rings long enough. A held bass note makes the whole piece sound fuller.
